"Victory Studios has worked with a number of free-lance editors who have assisted in the development of our projects. Of this group, I would rank Cliff Carle as being our top choice.

Not only is he an excellent line-editor, but he instinctively pinpoints the weak spots in a manuscript, knowing precisely what needs to be done to shore them up. At the same time, he sees the ‘big picture’ and clearly explains how to make everything come together to achieve the desired effect. Cliff has been very helpful in guiding us through rewrites and working out problems in brainstorming sessions that we have had.
In conclusion, it’s hard to imagine a manuscript that could be in more capable hands."

"I have had the pleasure of having Cliff Carle as my editor. The five books I’ve written were greatly improved by Cliff’s guidance and wisdom. His commitment to excellence brought out the best I had in me. His ability to clearly communicate his ideas and suggestions, in a supportive way, would be welcomed by any writer. Cliff is a very solid professional."

"I want to take this opportunity to highly recommend Cliff Carle as an editor. Cliff was a tremendous help to me in editing my humor book.
For the past fifteen years, I have worked as a comedy writer in Hollywood, writing scripts for television and film, and working with some of the top names in the business. Therefore, when I wrote my first book, I was going to be quite selective and critical of any humor editor. I was amazingly fortunate to have found Cliff Carle.
Cliff returned my manuscript quickly with terrific suggestions. Although it was a wonderful book to start, Cliff actually made it better… and funnier!
He made excellent suggestions, was great to work with, and was always generous of spirit and mind. He continues to be supportive and helpful whenever I have questions about the publishing business. He’s totally knowledgeable and has a keen sense of wit, wisdom and style.
I would heartily urge anyone working on a humor book to get Cliff on his or her team."

"I have had the pleasure of working with Cliff Carle as my editor… on my latest book… He is incredibly understanding, patient and honest under the toughest of circumstances.
In the past, editors have changed my words, added new quotes and even changed my book title, all without going over it with me. Which I expected.
Cliff, on the other hand worked with me. That is something I never expected. We both went over changes and made modifications together… It all boils down to Cliff, an editor who took the time to read and change my manuscript to make it the book it is today. His skills and insights are invaluable.
I have really enjoyed working with Cliff on my latest book and hope to work with him again soon.

"I selected Cliff Carle from a group of seven applicants to edit my first book. At the present time, the book is in print and is being translated into three foreign languages.
Cliff Carle was extremely instrumental in this success. Through his piercing questions at the initial stages of the writing I was able to move the work forward in a timely and efficient manner. During the editing with the publishing company [galley proofs], I again sought the advice of Mr. Carle who edited rapidly and caught mismatches in the plot, which we corrected.
Although I have a doctorate in education, I could not edit the work myself. It was impossible to see the mismatches, the omitted punctuation, etc. I had previous training in report writing, grant planning, psychological studies, technical writing, and the development of administrative plans for a school district. I am a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema, with a doctorate in Educational Cinema and Psychology.
However, when it came to my own work, I needed the assistance of Cliff Carle. I am sure that we are going global with this book because of his watchful eye. -- Marcia F. Cohen, Ed. D.
Author of recent award-winning book, The Making of a Mistress

"If your to-do list includes ‘finding a great editor,’ you now have one less thing to worry about. Cliff Carle is one of the best. He is a true professional who gets the job done-on time-the first time. I could say more about this very talented writer/editor with more than 210 books to his credit, but he would probably edit it anyway..."

"As a novice author, my first editorial experience was with Cliff Carle. I am sure I would have given up after [publishers’] rejection(s) had it not been for Cliff… saying how much he liked the book. Those positive words and a title makeover combined with his patience and my persistence revived my book. From the receipt of my manuscript through the editorial process to the bookstore shelves, Cliff was infinitely encouraging.
I know having your work edited can be an unpleasant experience, however, Cliff was diplomatic and helpful in his critique while he patiently indulged my inexperience as a new writer. He has continued to be supportive of my writing and has offered me valuable insight toward furthering my career as a writer.
Thanks to Cliff’s efforts to turn my manuscript into a book, I was motivated to become a columnist for a Texas newspaper and magazine, as well as an essayist, humorist and public speaker. I hope to have the opportunity to work with Cliff again on future writing projects. He has my highest regard."

"I have found Cliff Carle to be one of the most creative and tenacious writing professionals I have ever known. His in-depth understanding of the writing and publishing process is exceptional. Also, his many professional contacts in the field are a tremendous asset to projects that he is involved. His attention to details, follow-up, editing and writing abilities are outstanding, and he is always willing to go the extra mile.
He would be an outstanding asset to any editorial/publishing team and I recommend him highly and without exception for any area that he endeavors."
